Hello JCS families,

I hope that everyone is enjoying this long weekend and taking the opportunity to spend some time with family and friends.

Thank you to the SPO for a fun and successful Family Movie Night this Saturday! The turnout was excellent and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for this week and the overall conference hours for JCS are:

Wednesday, 10/16 after school, from 3:45pm to 5:15pm

Thursday, 10/17, 1:15pm to 8:30pm

Teachers sent out links via ParentSquare to allow families to schedule conference slots across the hours available. We certainly encourage parents and caregivers to meet with their child’s teacher in-person, however teachers will be flexible and offer a virtual conference when needed.

If families were not able to successfully schedule a conference or get the ParentSquare link to work, please let your child's teacher know.

Digital Citizenship Week

Each October, Common Sense Media leads Digital Citizenship Week, an annual campaign to promote a healthy, balanced, and positive approach to media and tech use among young people. Here are activities and resources that are geared towards elementary aged students that families may also find to be helpful.

School Picture Retakes, Thursday November 7th

Lifetouch will be at JCS offering school picture retakes for any students who missed the first school picture day or whose family would like to have their picture retaken. More information will be shared with families once we receive it from Lifetouch.
