Week of November 24th

Hello JCS families,

We have another short, "zig zag" week leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday break. Thanksgiving is a time that many of us think about and reflect on the people and parts of our lives we are grateful for. It's also a time that can be emotional as we remember the important people in our life that are no longer with us. We understand that this can also be the case for our students, even if they themselves may not fully understand all of their "big feelings". If your child may be struggling as the holidays approach, please let us know so that we can help support them at school.

There is an EARLY RELEASE DAY on Wednesday 11/27 and NO SCHOOL on Thursday 11/28 and Friday 11/29 for the Thanksgiving Break. We wish a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday to all JCS families!

Little Lancers Family Feast

Our Little Lancers program is organizing and inviting parents and families to join us for a Family Feast this Tuesday. There are two sessions planned to include AM, PM, and full-day Little Lancer classrooms. Please keep an eye out for details for your child’s preschool teacher.

Norton Holiday Toy Drive

The annual Norton Holiday Toy Drive is sponsored by the NHS Math Honor Society, the Norton Police Department, the Norton Fire Department, and the C2 Foundation in Memory of Tommy Petersen. The Toy Drive is looking for donations of brand-new toys that will be distributed to families in Norton. Please see the attached flyer for more information or email info@thec2foundation.com.

SEPAC Lil’ Shoppers Shoppe

The holidays are right around the corner and the Norton MA SEPAC is sponsoring the annual Lil' Shopper's Shoppe to help children shop for their friends and family. The event is being held on Friday 12/6 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm and Saturday 12/7 from 10:00am to 1:00pm at L.G. Nourse School. See the flyer below for more details!

SPO Meeting, Thursday December 5th at 6:00pm

The Solmonese Parent Organization (SPO) is holding a monthly meeting of the school year Thursday, 12/5 at 6PM at J.C. Solmonese School in the 2nd floor Library/Media Center. All parents, guardians, caregivers, teachers, and staff are welcome to attend! Our friends at Champions will be offering childcare for any parents that would like to attend, but also need to bring their child.

We encourage parents/guardians to attend SPO meetings in-person, but we also understand that's not an option for everyone. We will also be streaming the meeting live on Google Meet via the link below.
