JCS Journal for the Week of March 16th

​Parent-Teacher Conferences are this week and the overall conference hours for JCS are:

Wednesday, 3/19 after school, from 3:45pm to 5:15pm

Thursday, 3/20, 1:15pm to 8:30pm

Teachers are using ParentSquare to allow families to schedule conference slots across the hours available. We certainly encourage parents and caregivers to meet with their child’s teacher in-person, however teachers will be flexible and offer a virtual conference when needed. Messages from teachers to families to sign-up for conferences have already been sent out. If you did not receive a message from your child’s teacher, please contact them for information on how to sign-up for a conference.

To facilitate Parent-Teacher conference, this Thursday, March 20th, is an Early Release Day and dismissal will take place at 12:30pm.

Dismissal this Thursday will occur at 12:30pm for Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

Dismissal this Thursday for Full-day and AM PreK will occur at 10:30am. PM PreK is canceled this Thursday.

There will be no no ice cream served during lunch this Thursday.

2nd Trimester Report Cards will be sent home with students on Monday, March 17th. Please check your child’s backpack for a folder containing the report card. If any family has questions or concerns about their child's report card, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher.

It’s time to celebrate our uniqueness! We invite students and staff to wear your craziest socks on Friday, 3/21 to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day!

Registration for Kindergarten for the 25-26 school year is now open. See the flyer below for details and ​go to https://norton.powerschool.com/public/formbuilder/form.html?formid=1498 to register.

Even students that are currently enrolled in the Little Lancers program that will be in Kindergarten next year need to be registered. There isn’t any “automatic rollover” registration from Little Lancers to Kindergarten.
