Week of May 25th

Hi JCS families,

I hope that you are able to enjoy this long Memorial Day weekend. It's a good opportunity for all of us to spend some time thinking about and honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States Armed Forces so that we may continue to enjoy our freedom.

Last Days of School for Each Grade Level

To assist with planning for all of our families, here are the last days of schools for each grade level/program:

The last day of school for the Little Lancers PreK students is Thursday, June 12th and it’s a normal schedule (not an early release day). The Little Lancers graduation celebration is scheduled for Friday, June 13th at 9:00am.
The last day of school for Kindergarten is Friday, June 13th. It will be a full day of school.
The last day of school for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades is Tuesday, June 17th. It will be an Early Release Day.

Adventure Games, Friday June 6th

Our 4th annual Adventure Games are scheduled for Friday, June 6th!

Students should wear their House color (if possible). See the image for each classrooms’ house color. Students should bring a change of clothes or, at least, be prepared to get wet or a bit dirty. Students will carry their personal water bottle to the activities because it’s likely to be warm. Sunscreen should be applied at home as teachers and staff are not allowed to apply it for students.

Grades K and 2 will be participating from 9:30am to 10:45am
Grades 1 and 3 will be participating from 1:30pm to 2:45pm
Little Lancers will participate in activities and times that are the best fit for the ages of their students. Look for specific details from your child's teacher

We're looking for parent volunteers who have a little time on that day to help us create a fun, activity filled day for all JCS students. Ice Cream Days for the Rest of School Year

Chartwells is offering ice cream on Thursday, 6/5/25 and that will be the last “Ice Cream Thursday” of the school year. Chartwells will NOT be offering ice cream on Thursday, May 29th or Thursday, June 12th.

School Lunch Options on June 16th and 17th

For 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders, Chartwells will be offering the following lunch and breakfast options on June 16th and 17th:

Monday will be regular service for both Breakfast and Lunch.
Tuesday will be regular service for Breakfast and a “grab and go” Lunch

New Date for SPO “Under the Sea” Dance

Guess what? The JCS is having a school dance!! 🤩

Join us for an Under the Sea dance with our JCS Community (Pre-K thru Third Grade and their families) on Wednesday, June 4th.
