Open House tomorrow evening!

Hi JCS families,

Open House is tomorrow evening, August 27th, and our teachers are looking forward to meeting their new students! There are two important and very quick tasks that we ask families to do tomorrow evening when they visit their child's classroom:

1. Please take home your child's Pick Up passes. All of the passes have been printed out and are ready for families to take in preparation for next week.
2. Please indicate your child's dismissal schedule (e.g. Monday through Wednesday they are pickup, Thursday they attend Champions, and Friday they take the bus)

We understand that not every family will be able to attend tomorrow evening's Open House. If you are NOT able to attend, please send an email to one of our terrific administrative assistants, Colleen Robichaud crobichaud@norton.k12.ma.us , and let Mrs. Robichaud know your child's dismissal schedule. Knowing every child's dismissal schedule before school begins helps us keep everyone safe.

Here are tomorrow evening's Open House times for the various grade levels, including our Little Lancers (PreK):

4:30 – 5:00pm, Little Lancers AM & Full Day
5:00 – 5:30pm, Little Lancers PM
5:30 – 6:00pm, Kindergarten and 1st grade
6:00 – 6:30pm, 2nd and 3rd grade

Open House is an opportunity for students and families to visit our school and say "hi" to teachers and staff. Because the school year has not yet begun, Open House is not an appropriate time for parent conferences or curriculum discussions. We will be having a separate opportunity during the month of September for families to hear about this school year’s academic and curricular programs.

If your child will be attending Kindergarten, we are planning a “Meet and Greet” popsicle party at 4:45pm on the evening of Open House.
