Hello JCS families,

Monday marks the beginning of fall, probably my favorite season of each year. Not only does fall bring a lot of fun New England traditions and food (colorful foliage, apple picking, apple cider, apple pie, pumpkin spice EVERYTHING), it also means that the first few weeks of school are over. We’re now in the swing of things, students are familiar with the routines, and meaningful learning is happening in all classrooms.

We also would like to wish “L'Shanah Tovah Tikatevu” to all JCS families celebrating Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, these next few days!

This Wednesday, 9/24 will be the first district wide Early Release day. During Early Release days, teachers and staff receive valuable time to engage in professional development and to work on things like curriculum. Students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade will still receive lunch at school. Please see the Early Release schedule for this Wednesday:

A note from Champions, please make sure that you enroll for the Early Release half-day or reach out to Rachel Medas (ch004945@discoverchampions.com) if you need your child to attend Champions on Wednesday and that is not a day your child is already scheduled to attend.

Thank you to the parents and guardians that were able to attend Curriculum Night this past week. We appreciate the partnership with Champions to provide childcare to allow families to be able to attend.
