“Turtle Talk” for the Week of February 8th

Posted Date: 02/08/26 (10:26 AM)

JCS Sea Turtle

JCS "Turtle Talk"

Week of February 8th

Hi JCS families,

It’s Super Bowl Sunday and we know that many JCS students are excited to watch (at least some of) the big game tonight. This is our last week of school before the February Break during the week of the 16th. Monday is also the 100th day of school for this year and the JCS staff have some fun planned for this week with some “secret” staff theme days that they are hoping students will be able to figure out by checking the clues…

Mr. Barrette Will Be Out Through this Week

Mr. Barrette will be out of school through Friday, February 13th on medical leave. He has been working with Dr. O’Neill and Dr. Ackerman to keep them updated and they have been working with the entire central office team to support JCS during his absence. There is never any good time to be out of work and Mr. Barrette apologizes for the inconvenience that this may cause. If families have concerns or questions about their child during his absence, you should contact your child’s teacher and they can work with Dr. O’Neill or Dr. Ackerman to provide additional support, if needed.

We appreciate your understanding.
