OFFICE OF TEACHING AND LEARNING

Good Afternoon JCS Community,

It is with bittersweet emotions that I write to you today. As you know, Dr. Marcus is moving on to the next step in his educational journey. We are thankful for the work and impact he made at JCS and wish him well in all future endeavors.

As part of our continuing effort to bring the highest quality educational leaders to Norton Public Schools, we are asking for three parents/caregivers to partner with NPS to find the next Principal of JCS. We anticipate the process will last multiple weeks, starting the week of April 29th and  continuing through approximately mid-May. The commitment for this important task will often occur multiple times during the late afternoon and evening hours. Our interviews and team meetings will occur in person. A more detailed schedule will be formed upon formation of the team.

If NPS has in excess of three parent/caregiver requests to join the interview team, a lottery system will be utilized to select members.

Please indicate your interest in serving on this committee by the close of school on Monday, April 22nd, 2024 by emailing me at backerman@norton.k12.ma.us.

As always, please feel free to contact me at the above email or at (508) 285-0100, if I can answer any questions and/or have a more detailed conversation. Thanks for your consideration.
