As we enter the final two months of school, it's important that we all continue to work together to focus on making sure that students are at school and on-time each day. If any family has questions or is having issues getting their child to school on-time, every day, please reach out to your child's teacher and/or Mr. Barrette and we will work with you to figure out ways to work with you and support your child. The Solmonese Parent Organization (SPO) is holding a monthly meeting on Thursday, 5/1 at 6PM at J.C. Solmonese School in the 2nd floor Library/Media Center. All parents, guardians, caregivers, teachers, and staff are welcome to attend! Our friends at Champions will be offering childcare for any parents that would like to attend, but also need to bring their child.

We encourage parents/guardians to attend SPO meetings in-person, but we also understand that's not an option for everyone. We will also be streaming the meeting live on Google Meet via the link below.

The SPO sponsored Scholastic Book Fair begins next week on Tuesday, May 6th during the school day and again during the school day on Thursday, May 8th. Family Night will be held on Wednesday, May 7th from 4-6pm. The book fair will take place in the JCS Library (2nd floor). All Kindergarten through 3rd grade classrooms will sign up for a time slot to visit the Book Fair during the school day on either Tuesday or Thursday.

We are pleased to offer a variety of opportunities for students entering grades K-12 to take part in this summer. There are four different weeks offered from Monday, July 7th through Thursday, July 31st. Sessions will take place Monday-Thursday, 9am-12pm.

Norton Middle School will be the host site of the Summer Enrichment Program. All students may be dropped off at NMS between 8:45am-8:55am. Each morning, a parent or family representative must bring the K-4 students to be checked into NMS. Students entering Grades 5 and up do not need a parent or family representative to check them in. Attendance will be taken each day at 9:00am. Once the day begins, your child may not leave without permission. Students must stay within school boundaries and remain in registered sessions until release at the end of each day. Pick-up is expected at the conclusion of the sessions at 12:00pm at Norton Middle School.

There will be a Lady Lancer Basketball Clinic for students in grades 3rd through 8th, June 23rd through June 26th. The clinic will be held at Norton High School and the cost is $125. Please see the linked flyer for all of the information and details.
