JCS teachers and staff are going to be having some fun this week with some “Secret Spirit Days” just for staff. We encourage students to see if they can figure out the theme of each Spirit Day by looking for clues amongst the teachers and staff!

Looking for Donations of Sweatpants
|
Nurse Erin is looking for donations of sweatpants to the JCS health clinic from any family that may have extras or “hand me downs” available. Nurse Erin provides students with dry, clean clothes in the event of accidents, spills, or any of the other mishaps that can happen at school. Right now, the health clinic is low on clean sweatpants, so any donations would be greatly appreciated! |

Norton P-Bruins Night, Friday 2/14
|
The Norton P-Bruins Night this year is scheduled for Friday, February 14th at 5:30pm at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence. This is the date that was assigned to all three Norton elementary schools by the Providence Bruins.
Join Henri A. Yelle, J.C. Solmonese and L.G. Nourse Elementary Schools for a night with the Providence Bruins! The 2nd & 3rd Grade students will have the opportunity to perform the National Anthem prior to puck drop! All students, family members, and friends receive this exclusive discounted offer! Everyone's ticket for this event is just $22 per person. You will receive great seats together as a group and all kids will receive a FREE P-BRUINS HAT!

2nd and 3rd grade sign-up to sing at P-Bruins night
|
We're happy to offer JCS 2nd and 3rd grade students the opportunity to sing the National Anthem with students from LGN on the ice at the P-Bruins game on Friday night on February 14th.
Some important information to know ahead of time:
- Students need to arrive and be checked in by 6:00 at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence. (Please factor in extra travel time for Friday night Providence traffic!)
- Students and any family members attending with them need to purchase tickets to the game at https://fevo-enterprise.com/event/Nortonnight7
- Parents/guardians of student performers will need to go their ticketed seats after dropping off their child to sing
- Chaperones/volunteers of student performers will not have a clear view of the performance due to where they must wait for their group of students. This the policy of the P-Bruins
- After the performance of The National Anthem, parents/guardians will be called to come and pick up their child at a specific location within the Amica Mutual Pavilion. After picking up their child, families can go to their ticketed seats to enjoy the hockey game
We're also looking for parent volunteers to help supervise small groups of students at the Amica Mutual Pavilion as the students wait to sing. Please indicate if you're willing to serve as a volunteer at the bottom of the form. https://forms.gle/5EGwte2nzdj8ctPBA

Enrollment in the Little Lancers Preschool Program for the 2025-26 School Year
|
The enrollment process has started for the Little Lancers Preschool program for the 2025-2026 school year! Program options available include:
- HALF day AM and PM programs for 3-year old and 4-year old students
- FULL day program option for 4-year old students
Interest Applications for Community Peer students are now available online and in-person at the J.C. Solmonese Elementary School. The Little Lancers Preschool program is located at Joseph C. Solmonese School at 315 West Main Street in Norton, MA. Community Peer students must reside in Norton, MA, need to be age 3 or 4 by August 31, 2020, and must be toilet trained.
