Week of May 18th

Hello JCS families,

It’s hard to believe, but we have just over 4 weeks left in this school year! To assist with planning for all of our families, here are the last days of schools for each grade level/program:

  • The last day of school for the Little Lancers PreK students is Thursday, June 12th. The Little Lancers graduation celebration is scheduled for Friday, June 13th at 9:00am.
  • The last day of school for Kindergarten is Friday, June 13th. It will be a full day of school.
  • The last day of school for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades is Tuesday, June 17th. It will be an Early Release Day.

2nd Grade Memorial Day Concert, Friday May 23rd

​Our 2nd graders have been working hard with Mr. Place and their teachers to learn a special program of fun and patriotic music to celebrate Memorial Day!  2nd grade families are invited to join us on the afternoon of Friday, May 23rd at 2:00pm for a wonderful Memorial Day Concert outside on the JCS field on the left side of the school. Please feel free to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on the grass field. If needed, the rain date for the concert is Thursday, May 29th.

Warmer Weather Means Looking Out for Ticks

As the weather continues to get warmer and we spend more time outside, it’s important for everyone to watch out and regularly check for ticks. For more information about ticks and tick-borne illness, check out the following resources:

Join us for an Under the Sea dance with our JCS Community (Pre-K thru Third Grade and their families) on Friday, May 23.

Looking for parent volunteers for Adventure Day on Friday, June 6th

Our 4th annual Adventure Day (Field Day) is scheduled for Friday, June 6th! We're looking for parent volunteers who have a little time on that day to help us create a fun, activity filled day for all JCS students.
  • Grades K and 2 will be participating from 9:30am to 10:45am
  • Grades 1 and 3 will be participating from 1:30pm to 2:45pm
  • Little Lancers will participate in activities and times that are the best fit for the ages of their students. Look for specific details from your child's teacher
